As Crocodile faced off against Magellan’s poisonous giant, he knew better than to underestimate his opponent. He quickly created some distance between them. Watching from a safe distance were Allan and Jinbei. They, too, retreated along with Crocodile.
Even Mr. 1, Daz Bones, Mr. 2, Bon Clay, Mr. 3, Galdino, and the other pirates realized the danger and fled from Magellan’s presence. The remaining pirates, injured from the previous battle, were unable to move and could only watch in horror as Magellan’s poison spread like a wave, consuming them.

The poison emanating from Magellan was a bloody red color. Like a mist of blood, it quickly enveloped those who couldn’t escape, and screams could be heard from within. Magellan continued to move toward his target: Allan and his companions.

However, to his surprise, when Magellan’s hand touched the wall, it quickly turned red and was rapidly corroded, leaving him defenseless against the poison.

Mr. 3 was shocked to find that his Devil Fruit power was no match for Magellan’s poisonous ability. The two were not even in the same league.
Mr. 1 and Mr. 2 also looked worried. Although they also possessed Devil Fruit powers, they were not Logia powers like Magellan’s, and their attacks were ineffective against the poison.
“Quick, let’s retreat to the next level,” suggested Jinbe.

The blade made only two shallow cuts into the rock before becoming lodged in its surface. “It’s useless,” said Jinbe. “That’s seastone.”
“What do we do now? Magellan is catching up,” said Mr. 3, panicking.
“I don’t want to die from the poison!” he exclaimed. “I surrender!”
Mr. 2 slapped Mr. 3 across the face. “Coward! Death is a small price to pay for freedom. We’re pirates, we can’t surrender to the marines!”
Mr. 3 cringed and remained silent.
Moments later, Magellan caught up to them. He did not immediately launch an attack.
“Hmph, you have nowhere left to run,” he said. “You have two choices. Surrender or face my poison.”
