Chapter 290 290: Small realm
Chapter 290 290: Small realm
After spending who knows how long in the trials, Rahu got the law. The basic entry level—he had merely touched the threshold at that time.
After passing the unpredictable and cruel trials…then and only did he obtain the laws.
But Yveline? Not only had she never attempted any trial, but she didn't possess even an ounce of cultivation.
But today…there was an unmistakable aura of The Laws from her. And not just any laws…It was one of the Greater Laws, a superior one on that.
The Law of Life.
Yes, although merely a sliver of that was visible. Yveline had undoubtedly touched the starting threshold all by herself!
…
In a large hall.
Two figures sat facing each other. One was a man, the other a woman. Rahu looked at Yveline curiously as she gracefully sipped her tea.
"My Love, you really couldn't materialize 'that' once again?"
He couldn't help but ask as he chugged down a jug of strong liquor.
"I could… but I would be instantly destroyed because of it. Even the earlier manifestation was sheer luck, it had only happened because a certain someone had successfully managed to annoy me."
She spoke without even looking at him.
Rahu's brows twitched. "We both know that's not what I meant."
He couldn't help but shake his head at the petty nature of the woman in front of him.
Yveline let out a chuckle when she saw his face. Only she could bring out such emotions in him. And she was proud of that.
Standing up, she stepped towards him. Rahu raised his brows when he saw this. But she ignored him, standing in front of him, lowered herself on his lap, and wrapped her arms around his muscles. "My love, of course, I know you didn't mean it. My heart already belongs to you, and it beats for you and…you only."
Her eyes shone brilliantly, reflecting his purple orbs. She held his cheeks with her hands.
"There is no one worthy of my love aside from you, my man, and there won't be anyone in the future. Whether mortal or an Immortal, my heart is yours."
She declared, there was no hesitation in her voice. Nor any arrogance. It was something much more primal…belief.
Although he didn't say anything, she…already knew what his silence meant.
Rahu just kept staring at her eyes. There were no words needed. Rahu leaned in and captured her lips. It wasn't a lustful one nor an erotic one.
It was just a…kiss.
Yveline didn't hesitate in the slightest and went in for the kiss, tightening her arms around his neck.
…
A few days later. In-house Ravana, as usual, Rahu walked in unfazed. Not bothered by the slightest by the fearful stares he was getting.
"Hmm, it seems I have to make it official now. After this ordeal, I…will"
Rahu muttered before vanishing in the air.
…
"You are back…already?"
Malrik's brows furrowed; he didn't help but twitch when he saw the man in front of him. He was fully recovered—at least physically.
He still hadn't forgotten how this bastard had cruelly manipulated his granddaughter against him! And he was even beaten black annd blue.
"Yo old man, there's a small thing you need to do for me." Rahu waved his hands with a smile on his face. Hearing his words, Malrik raised his brows.s.
"And what is that?"
He couldn't help but feel a bad premonition whenever this guy arrived with a smile on his face. "It's nothing, just take me to your… summoning altar."
The moment his words echoed, Malrik's expression changed. His expression became wary as he glanced at the man before him.
"Do you…know what you are asking?"
His intentions were clear…he wanted to meet the god they worship! Although meet was a strong word here. It was still unbelievable that this man just asked, "Yes, and I don't have time for you to be surprised every two lines. Now, get your ass moving or else I'll call your granddaughter." daughter.
Rahu spoke, hearing the threat at the end of his words. Malrik's eyes couldn't help but twitch in annoyance.
"Alright…I'll only allow this since you are the one who's asking. Keep in mind that only the ones containing the sacred blood of Ravana are allowed in our ancestral shrine."
"I know, you don't have to worry about me. Just do as I say."
Saying that, Rahu opened his mouth to speak.
But…the moment Malrik heard those words. His face went pale with fright.
"Y-YOU! ARE YOU INSANE!!?"
He shouted as he pointed a trembling finger at Rahu. He couldn't believe what this bastard had just "Yes, now let's go." let's go"
Saying that, Rahu grabbed his collar and vanished.
…
Deep inside the palace of the House of Ravana, there was an unknown place that nobody knew of.
This place…was akin to a small realm beneath the palace. It was huge.
In the middle of it, two figures materialized.
BAM!!
Malrik's face was plastered on the ground as Rahu threw him"Ouch, youngsters these days are so so rude"
He rubbed his head and stood up. Glancing ahead, he saw Rahu staring at a certain spot.
"Hmm…this place. The energy here is something else."
His eyes swept the entire realm in less than a second; the ground beneath them was carved with grey obsidian-like stones with crimson veins pulsing…as if alive.
In the distance, towering pillars rose into a ceiling that couldn't be seen…there were a total of five of them. Each was etched with ancient, tyrannical runes, which—Rahu was sure that if touched, even an Ascension realm cultivator would be injured heavily.
At the center, between the pillars, stood a massive altar made of grey metal and stone. It had a domineering presence, even a wisp of it demanding submission. Withdrawing his gaze, he looked down at the figure standing on the ground.
"Alright…Malrik, remember this. One wrong step and you could get both of us killed, so do exactly as I said, and I'll even tell you that I cannot die…so it's just you."
Rahu spoke, the moment his words echoed. Malrik took a deep breath and nodded.
"Don't worry, I don't play around with my life."
