Chapter 285 285: A glimpse of Rahu’s past
Chapter 285 285: A glimpse of Rahu’s past
"No can do, also. You should probably look down first."
Rahu smirked as he pointed at her dress…in which place…there was nothing!
Yuno looked down, and her eyes widened in surprise when she saw the state of her clothes… she was wearing her birthday suit. Her eyes snapped back to Rahu. Specifically, his hand.
"Hehe, are you looking for this?"
Rahu waved a pink bra and a soft, white, velvety panty. It even had violet circles on it. Probably a cheap imitation of his eyes.
"Y-You, how—when!!?"
Yuno was shocked, she—she didn't feel a thing when this had happened. Looking at his eyes, she suddenly became wary.
"Who are you really?"
"Your Dad"
A vein popped on her forehead when she heard his words. Her eyes shook as she stretched out her hand.
"It seems you really need to be taught some manners. Haven't your mother—that bitch taught you anything about talking to a woman?"
A brilliant light shone in her hands. Hearing her words, Rahu's lips curled up.
"Your words are indeed the truth, my mother was bitch through and through. It's probably because of her that I ended up like this."
Rahu shrugged.
Miranthu's eyes shone when she heard this; her heart shook when she realized there wasn't a single ounce of longing or sadness in his voice.
"My Love…are you..?"
Rahu raised his brows when he heard this, a chuckle left his mouth, "Miranthu, if I were to cry and hole up in a house just because of a bitch…I wouldn't be here standing in front of you."
Yes, everyone's doubt about his personality was cleared up. Rahu was an orphan.
He flicked his finger, and the white light that was being summoned by Yuno was snuffed out in an instant. Her eyes darkened as she fell on the ground with a thud.
Without paying her any attention, Rahu picked her up and stepped towards Miranthu.
"You really didn't have anyone?"
She asked once again, her mind was confused. How could someone like Rahu have such an enormous amount of self-belief and confidence despite the harsh realities of the world?
"From the moment I gained my consciousness at the age of 4, I found myself on a battlefield. And mind you, from the place I come from. It's…not really an ideal place for a child to be in."
Rahu spoke; despite his words, there was no visible pain or sadness in his voice. Just pure facts.
"F-Four!? And on a battlefield on that!!?" Miranthu gasped, her mind reeling from what she had just heard.
"Mhm…And it was the first time I had killed someone. Of course not with my hands but a thing called…a gun."
Rahu laughed out loud when he said that. Miranthu didn't dare interrupt him.
"That was, of course, on pure instinct, but it was indeed the truth. And you what the funny part is?"
He continued, his voice calm. But there was a tint of amusement flickering in them.
"I didn't even understand what death meant back then. To me, it was just…pull the trigger and the noise stops. The person troubling me…stops. That's it."
He adjusted Yuno's body slightly.
"And because of that mindset…I was rampant. Heh, if you met the ten-year-old me now…I'm sure the entire cultivation world would be different"
Thum Thump Thump
Miranthu's heart thundered against her chest as she heard the coldness in his voice. It sounded just wrong…just something else entirely.
Walking past her, he started to walk towards the entrance. She quickly caught up to him, trailing just a step behind.
Coming out, Rahu's eyes reflected the vast sky of the Immortal Jade Empire.
"I wouldn't justify my actions with nonsense reasons. There's nothing specific that made me like this, nor is there any reason for it. I don't need anyone's approval on how I should behave. Because at the end of the day, it is my will that prevails over everything that exists."
He spoke, a small smile adorning his face. This one wasn't an arrogant one, no. It was something different…it was his will.
Just as his words ended, Miranthu blocked his path. Her eyes reflected his brilliance.
"Rahu… such a man of your caliber… I must be blessed by some divine luck to exist in the same generation as you, to walk these wretched lands your feet have graced. Though my strength may be less than yours, my loyalty is not. Until the end of time, this Miranthu shall follow you for as long as she exists."
Rahu looked at her for a second and nodded.
"You already know me, what my path is, and what my goal is. If you are strong enough to stand beside me throughout the ordeal. The entire universe will be beneath your feet, that…I assure you."
Hearing this, Miranthu's smile widened.
"Of course! I won't settle for anything less."
Smack!
…
After a few hours…
In a simple room, there was a woman lying on the bed unconscious. Her body was trembling instantly, as if she were in some kind of pain.
A few seconds later, she snapped her eyes open.
"W-What!!? Where am I!?"
Yuno hurriedly looked around, her eyes as confused as ever. But suddenly, her nose twitched.
Yuno frowned, a second later. Her pretty nose scrunched slightly as she began to sniff continuously.
"W-What is this smell!!?? It smells so good!!!"
Yuno forgot the place where she was…she closed her eyes and just followed the smell.
Tack!
"Ouch!! Who!!?"
Yuno suddenly bumped into something…soft.
"My My, the woman Rahu bought is really naughty."
Yuno heard a chuckle; her eyes snapped open. A beautiful, blue-haired woman stood in front of her, her eyes shining maliciously.
Seeing this impish woman, Yuno suddenly came back to her senses,
"Shit, I forgot!! Where am I!?"
Her… mortal body, of course, couldn't use any divine sense to sweep across. She did the thing any mortal would do.
"This? This is the Emperor's castle. You are inside the castle of the Immortal Jade Emperor."
The woman once again chuckled.
"J-Jade Emperor!!!?"
