Chapter 6 The Fireseed Project, The Fall of the Jedi Temple
Chapter 6 The Fireseed Project, The Fall of the Jedi Temple
"Lance, come here quickly."
Jocasta waved to him, her gentle smile carrying a hint of restraint.
Serena and Gore both turned to look at him and nodded slightly.
Gore: "Thank you, Lance."
Serena: "Jocasta said that it was you who gave us the warning, which allowed us to prepare in advance."
Lance walked up to the three men and nodded in greeting:
"This is my duty. It's just a pity I didn't realize it sooner."
Joecasta gently patted his shoulder, his voice low and slow:
"Don't blame yourself, Lance."
"This is not your fault; you have done enough."
She didn't say anything more, her expression quickly composed, and she turned to talk about the current situation and plans.
"The Jedi Temple is destined to be breached."
Her tone was calm, yet it contained a firm conviction:
"The Order of Samurai may disappear from the galaxy, but as long as the flame remains, the Order of Samurai will eventually be rebuilt."
Joecasta had already seen through the situation.
The so-called "Spark Project" was the flame of hope she left for the Jedi Order.
With their aging bodies, which had little time left, they carved out a path to survival for the young apprentices.
At this moment, she appeared exceptionally decisive.
She looked up at the three of them and began assigning tasks:
"To be on the safe side, we need to split into three teams."
"Serene, you are in charge of leading the Jedi apprentices to evacuate from the hangar."
Then she turned to Gore, a familiar smile in her eyes.
In an instant, it felt like I was back in those youthful days.
"My old friend."
"Today is my day, you can't steal my thunder."
She chuckled softly, a hint of mischief and smugness in her voice, and continued:
"I need you to leave here alive with those important documents."
"Find a secluded place and build the Jedi Archives."
"The legacy of the Jedi must not be broken, and it must not fall into the hands of those people."
Her tone was calm, as if it were a prepared last will and testament.
Just as Serena and Gore were about to speak, she raised her hand to stop them.
Then, she looked at Lance with an unprecedented seriousness:
"I need you to keep an extremely important item safe; it is the key to rebuilding the samurai order in the future."
Lance nodded emphatically without any hesitation:
"Please rest assured, Master."
Jocasta gave a faint smile:
"Time is running out, everyone hurry up and get moving!"
"You only get one chance."
"Warm up the engine and seize the opportunity."
"May the Force be with you."
......
Serena and Gore left the meeting room to arrange their evacuation.
Lance was stopped by Jocasta and followed her to the secret vault deep within the temple.
Inside a spacious room riddled with intricate mechanisms, stood countless stone pillars.
Their surfaces are engraved with intricate and mysterious patterns, very similar to those on holograms.
The four walls were also decorated with many strange and unusual objects.
One of the rifles, nearly 1.5 meters long, caught his attention. It had a simple and antique design, with a dark silver and ivory-white body covered in patterns, and several copper-colored patterns inlaid on the barrel.
This was Lance's first time here, and he looked around curiously.
Jocasta walked ahead and introduced in a soft voice:
"It contains an important hologram, which was sealed away because the knowledge it contained was too dangerous. Most of it came from the Sith a thousand years ago."
"Those stone pillars can isolate the aura emitted by the Sith Hologram and protect the surrounding area from the influence of the Dark Force."
As she spoke, she stopped in front of a stone pillar.
Jocasta raised his hands and placed them on the stone pillar, and the Force surged into them.
A moment later, the inscription lit up from the palm of his hand and quickly spread to the entire pillar.
A sound of stones scraping together rang out.
A crack appeared in the middle of the stone pillar, and the Jedi Holographic Device slowly rose and hovered in mid-air.
Jocasta reached out and grabbed the hologram, carefully handing it to Lance:
"This contains a database of tens of thousands of children sensitive to the Force; it must be kept very safe."
"Even if it has to be destroyed, it must not fall into the hands of bad people, otherwise it will cause countless tragedies."
Lance carefully accepted it and held it in his palm:
"Anyone who wants to take it from me will have to step over my dead body."
Jocasta shook his head:
"Your life is far more precious than that."
"If it really can't be saved, then just destroy it."
She looked at the stone pillars filling the room, a hint of regret flashing in her eyes.
Guided by the Force, her gaze involuntarily fell on the rifle.
This is a weapon that uses lightsabers as bullets.
It can fire powerful beams of light, but each shot will cause serious damage to the lightsaber.
Jocasta grabbed his rifle and led Lance away from the secret vault.
......
The two had just emerged from the basement when a violent explosion rang in their ears, accompanied by screams and the sounds of blaster guns clashing with lightsabers.
The Jedi Temple...has fallen...
Lance was startled, not expecting Anakin and his group to break through the temple's defenses so quickly.
He gripped the hilt of his sword, ready to charge forward, but was stopped by Jocasta:
"The battles there are not for you."
"Remember your mission, Lance."
"Go to the hangar now, I'll create an opportunity for you."
As soon as she finished speaking, she activated her lightsaber and joined the battle.
As Lance watched her departing figure, a sudden sense of powerlessness washed over him.
If I were a little stronger... I would be stronger than everyone else.
Wouldn't that protect more people and turn the tide?
He touched the holographic device in his arms, knowing that this was not the time to blame himself.
Talent activated.
The Force amplification instantly doubled his physical abilities.
Lance, wielding a lightsaber, became a blur, slaying any enemy that stood in his way.
These clone soldiers, some of whom had fought alongside him and sworn to protect the Galactic Republic, now sought to kill him.
hum.
The lightsaber slashed through the air.
In his eyes... there was not hatred, but a bottomless sorrow.
It was as if I could see the figures covering each other during the battle, and the smiling faces celebrating their survival.
However, those images were fleeting, torn apart by the cold gleam of the lightsaber.
In the blink of an eye, he severed the last trace of hesitation, leaving only a cold glint in his eyes.
Even the most elite clone soldiers could not stop him.
Suddenly, a beam of blue energy shot out from behind him, closing in almost an instant.
Lance didn't even turn his head.
With a casual sweep of the lightsaber, the trajectory was precise and the timing was just right, cleanly and decisively deflecting the burst of energy back.
The soldier felt a sharp pain in his chest, then everything went black before he collapsed to the ground.
A charred, round hole has appeared on the white armor, from which a wisp of black smoke is rising.
However, the battle was not over.
More clone soldiers poured in from all sides, quickly surrounding him.
At this moment, the fruits of his hard work in the past were fully displayed.
Ordinary Jedi apprentices, or even some Jedi warriors and masters who are not skilled in swordsmanship, would have long been unable to withstand such firepower and would have been riddled with holes.
But Lance remained calm and composed.
The third move, Soresu, had almost become his instinct.
His lightsaber twirled, the sword light forming a continuous barrage, like an impenetrable barrier, deflecting, reversing, and reflecting all the incoming energy beams back.
With his unpredictable speed and agility, he transformed into a flowing shadow.
Wherever they went, the enemy fell one after another, as swiftly as harvesting crops.
If it were an ordinary soldier, he would probably have already been filled with fear and turned to flee.
But they are not.
They are clone soldiers.
The suppression chip controlled their brains, suppressing their fear and erasing their hesitation.
In their world, only the warrior's mission remains.
Execute Order No. 66.
Eliminate all Jedi who have betrayed the Galactic Republic.
