Chapter 28 Roshman's Gift and Sword
Chapter 28 Roshman's Gift and Sword
Mittal village has little of anything now, but it has plenty of empty houses and granaries full of rice.
It wouldn't make any difference whether you settled a few soldiers or dozens of times more.
Vijay wisely refrained from seizing command of Daza, instructing Bim to find some well-maintained and spacious houses to settle the guards who had come to help with the watch.
Although, judging from Daza's tone, Roshman's purpose in bringing them here should be this, which is tantamount to indirectly placing them under Vijay's control.
But Daza was still holding his breath. Now that it was a foregone conclusion that he was standing below him, it was better not to further provoke his fragile ego.
To show his friendliness, Vijay even invited Daza to the training ground at the village entrance to begin a day of hammering.
Dasa gladly accepted the invitation.
Seeing that Vijay had already lifted Gadda, Dasa was preoccupied with how to turn the tide!
Since being pinned to the ground by Vijay with one hand last time, Daza has been reflecting on his mistakes and believes that Vijay must have gone home and inherited some unique family techniques from the Mittal family to master the skill of controlling the flow of an opponent's power in a contest of brute force!
Such skills are rare, but they do exist!
Coincidentally, one of his colleagues was a warrior from the north whose techniques were completely different from the traditional Carariat of Harappa.
After sparring, Sada felt that his martial arts skills seemed somewhat similar to the techniques Vijay had used that day.
Colleagues called it "Marayoda," a martial art known for its grappling and pinning techniques.
In order to avenge his previous defeat, Sada put in a lot of hard work and studied diligently for a period of time.
"By Indra, your strength has reached that of Yodharma!" Daza said with a tone that was both admiring and unwilling to admit defeat. "But why are you still using the basic Calariat?"
Sada's words immediately reminded Vijay that he hadn't yet learned advanced techniques from Guru at the old martial arts school in Harappa City!
Alas, it's a pity we left the city too quickly!
Vijay glanced at Sada, who was silently adjusting his wrist and feeling that he had found another way to surpass Vijay.
This guy is also a Yoda! And the fact that he dared to ask that question proves he's definitely mastered an advanced version of the technology...
Upon realizing this, Vijay immediately followed up, saying, "By Indra, the Mithril family is a merchant family and does not possess this technology. If you would be so kind as to instruct me, I will surely reward you handsomely!"
Upon hearing Vijay admit his inferiority, Sada tossed his head, instantly becoming somewhat arrogant, "I haven't reached the level of a teacher, I'm not qualified to teach you this technique!"
Vijay had probably figured out some of this guy's sore spots, so he immediately tried to flatter him by lowering himself and praising him...
"However, let's have a wrestling match!" Sada wiped his hands with dust and walked onto the soft sand of the training ground. "Feel it with your own body!"
This guy seems easier to coax than I thought!
Vijay was overjoyed. He put Jada down, wiped his hands, and walked up to him. "Come on!"
Sada didn't stand on ceremony; he immediately lowered his waist and bound his arms, tensing all his muscles and bones.
The two men locked their eyes on their opponent's weakness, their arms suddenly crossing to probe. Each wave of their hands created a wave of air, and a clear slapping sound echoed throughout the arena.
After a brief test, Vijay was slightly inferior, not as skilled as Sada in wrestling, and Sada seized the opportunity to lock his wrist first.
Taking advantage of the situation, Sada instantly tensed his muscles and exerted force, lowering himself to hug the waist and lock the legs!
Vijay subconsciously lowered his center of gravity, trying to spin around to dissipate the force and break free. He also suddenly burst out with all his strength, attempting to maneuver and shift his weight.
Given a little space, he could try out the techniques he had used before, control the hundred-pound force coming from Sada's arms, and use that force against him to throw him down.
I used it, but this time the effect wasn't as good!
Sada reacted immediately, colliding with Vijay's shoulders and back, blocking with his elbows and knees, and using his waist and stance to successfully deflect Vijay's force, preventing him from gaining momentum and regaining control of the situation, even completely suppressing half of Vijay's body!
Having gained the upper hand, Sada's face contorted with rage as he increased his strength, attempting to force Vijay to the ground in one fell swoop, making Vijay swallow the bitter pill of defeat.
Seeing that defeat was imminent, Vijay stomped his foot hard to maintain his balance, adjusted his breathing rhythm, and activated his mysterious breathing technique again. A surge of brute force rose from his body and violently sent Sada flying.
Sada crashed to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.
What happened? Sada, who was lying face down on the ground, was completely bewildered, but he knew that he had lost again!
He pounded the ground in a fit of impotent rage, his probing gaze fixed on Vijay, seeking an answer.
Vijay casually brushed the dust off his clothes, leaving Sada with only an inscrutable figure.
"Reporting, sir! The team you dispatched has arrived at the village entrance. Please go and greet them immediately!"
They arrived quite quickly. Vijay glanced at Sada, and it was clear that the guards were looking at him and obeying his orders.
Sada quickly stood up, straightened his clothes, and tried his best to hide his disheveled appearance.
"Let's go!" Trying to remain calm, Sada exchanged a glance with Vijay. "Let's go see what your demands are!"
Without exposing Sada's forced composure, Vijay followed him to the village entrance, waving his hand.
Many strangers had already stopped here to wait. Vijay looked around and saw a group of dozens of people, scattered yet orderly. Some were driving oxcarts, others were pulling crossbows, and each cart was piled high with goods...
This is practically a complete caravan that can be set off immediately!
Before Vijay could take a closer look at the caravan, his gaze was drawn to the woman sitting in the back of the oxcart at the front.
The woman had fair skin and wore a long cotton and linen dress dyed light ochre, with a light brown woven shawl over it. The hem of her skirt was embroidered with delicate grain patterns. Her hair was adorned with sandalwood ointment, and she wore plain wildflowers and small copper ornaments. She did not wear sacred threads, but was tied with colorful cotton ropes. Her hands and feet were lightly touched with turmeric mud.
The moment Vijay looked at her, she boldly peered back, though her gaze held a hint of consideration.
If I remember correctly, this should be the wedding attire of a Vaishya maiden!
This young girl has a well-proportioned frame, a warm, light wheat-colored complexion, sharp and bright eyebrows and eyes with slightly upturned corners, exuding a heroic spirit. She has a straight nose, clean-cut lips, a dignified and elegant appearance, and her black hair is neatly tied up, giving her a calm and majestic demeanor.
She did not appear to be an ordinary Vaishya girl, yet she bore no signs of Brahman or Kshatriya...
After exchanging glances, the beautiful and mysterious girl stood up, stepped off the oxcart, and walked in his direction.
Vijay's heart skipped a beat; an ominous premonition suddenly arose.
As expected, Sada stood to one side, a faint smile on his lips, watching the girl walk slowly towards him, and slowly opened his palm: "This girl's name is Sharma Mira."
"By the oath of Brahma who created the world and the name of Shiva who protects the world, this is a gift from the noble Kshatriya Rajamani himself."
"She will be your wife, by your side from dawn till dusk, sharing your destiny!"
