Chapter 930: Death Order
Chapter 930: Death Order
"Miss Monroe." Cece said seriously, "Young Master Knight has given us strict orders to ensure you face no more danger."
Even though it seemed the Grant Family’s mercenaries weren’t much of a threat to Summer Monroe, they did have guns, which was noteworthy.
"I understand." Summer Monroe nodded and said, "You don’t need to keep watching constantly, just take shifts at night. I reckon the Grant Family won’t dare to come today."
"Yes."
Summer Monroe smiled slightly, patted Bella’s head, and turned back into the villa.
She had to admit, with Damian Knight’s arrangements, she strangely felt an added sense of security.
Perhaps that’s the power of having support.
She simply made herself some dinner. Previously, she had made a lot of dumplings for Damian Knight, stored the leftovers in the freezer, and now boiling them was just perfect to fill her stomach.
Once the dumplings were cooked, they tasted just as delicious.
Summer Monroe’s eyes glinted as she made a call to the manager of Luna Restaurant.
"Boss!" The manager’s voice was incredibly excited as soon as the call connected, "Today’s sales increased by fifty percent again! Our restaurant might really be able to open a branch."
Summer Monroe nodded and said, "I was just about to talk to you about this. Once I’m done with this busy period, I’ll start planning the branch. But before that, I want to introduce a new main dish in the restaurant. I’ll come over after school tomorrow to let the head chef try it. If he thinks it’s good, we can use it as a complimentary dish to attract customers when opening the new store."
"Alright, alright, I understand. I’ll talk to the head chef."
Summer Monroe replied with a simple "hmm" and hung up the phone.
Just then, Holly Holloway’s call came through.
Summer Monroe’s expression softened as she answered the phone.
"Holly?"
"Sadie, I forgot to tell you something."
Summer Monroe swallowed the dumpling in her mouth, held the phone tightly with her other hand, and said, "Go ahead."
"Isn’t tomorrow Monday? As usual, the school will be hosting a charity auction. During lunch, there will be a flea market. Everyone will bring some unused items or handmade snacks to sell on the playground, and the money from sales will be collected by the school to help students in impoverished areas or build schools there."
"Oh?" Summer Monroe indeed didn’t know about this and asked, "What about the charity auction?"
"The charity auction will be held in the auditorium after four thirty. The school will auction off items donated by notable alumni, and all proceeds will be used for donations." Holly paused and continued, "Do you know which impoverished area the school is supporting this year?"
"Which impoverished area?"
"It’s Dottie’s hometown!"
Summer Monroe had discussed Dottie with Holly, and upon hearing this, her eyes lit up.
"It’s Dottie’s place, huh..."
"Yes, do you think we should all join the flea market tomorrow?"
"Sure." Summer Monroe agreed.
Holly Holloway asked again, "What should we sell? I’m planning to bring my Lego figurines to sell at the flea market."
Summer Monroe thought for a moment, glanced at the dumplings in front of her, and said, "I’ll bring some food to sell."
"Food? What kind of food?"
"You’ll find out tomorrow."
"Great! I’ve tasted your cooking, so I won’t have lunch tomorrow. I’ll be there to support you."
"Thank you then." Summer Monroe smiled slightly, exchanged goodnight wishes with Holly Holloway, and hung up.
She finished her plate of dumplings, then got up and returned to the kitchen.
Since she’s going to sell them, she’d better make more.
She planned to offer her dumplings as complimentary dishes for attracting customers to the new branch, and tomorrow would be a good opportunity to see if they could become such a dish.
